Nigger, usage. Y'know, it struck me while Dave Chappelle was talking about the use of "the 'N' word", that I really can't hear it now without hearing Richard Pryor's voice in my head:

Considering that, for Richard Pryor, not using the word "nigger" meant decreasing 25% of his vocabulary, his ceasing to use it was a hell of a statement. *grin* (I all but worshipped Richard Pryor when I was a young high-schooler. Him and Carlin)

Not that I've ever really used it, just kinda weird that right after Dave has this bit, I hear Richard's voice in my head.

Chappelle's Show So, on the recommendation of Heather Havrilesky(Salon.com link), I started to watch Chappelle's show. I'm now pretty well hooked.

He had me with the sage who answered to the question "Why is president Bush convinced that Iraq has Weapons of Mass Destruction", "Because he has the receipt",

Now, I'm watching a clip of the show "The Niggars", a 50's style family whose last name happens to be Niggar (Of course, they're WASP as hell) F'ing brilliant. This, of course after he has this monologue about the use of "the 'N' word".
